Museum opening at Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts

A museum space dedicated to Operation Bobcat from 1942 to 1946 has just opened at the hotel and is the result of a memory project initiated by the Polynesian Memory Association, Porinetia Ha'amanao, with the support of the Tupuna Tumu Foundation. Located on the first floor of the lobby, this museum offers our guests an immersion into the history of the American military presence during World War II, through information panels and TV screens.

Operation Bobcat, launched in February 1942, was the first deployment of the American military after the attack on Pearl Harbor. For four years, Bora Bora hosted thousands of American soldiers, permanently transforming the island and contributing to its international renown.
Step into history at our brand-new museum dedicated to the US Navy and Army's presence in Bora Bora during World War II.
