Preserving a legacy

Essence of our existence

Since the earliest navigators discovered Bora Bora, islanders have celebrated our unique place in the world through art. Today, we’re no different. We see art as an essential expression of our existence – our journey, our struggles, our successes. There’s a beauty in the innumerable ways in which local artists can tell and retell these stories.

At Le Bora Bora, you’ll find art embedded throughout the property – emphasising how connected our cultural legacy is to modern life. From guest rooms to shared spaces, even outdoors, you’ll encounter an evolving, thought-provoking collection.

Leading this approach is Tevairoa Gallery – it curates all artworks on site, and maintains a dedicated space that showcases signature works, celebrates local artists and offers pieces for sale.

Tevairoa Gallery

Shaping our world

Set within the hotel, Tevairoa Gallery offers a dark, intimate setting where each work reveals a different perspective on Polynesia. Paintings, sculptures and contemporary creations celebrate a living culture, its stories and the artists who continue to shape its expression. By showcasing talented local artists, we’re helping preserve Polynesian legends, embedding the creativity at the heart of our communities, and inspiring the island artists of tomorrow. Across our grounds and within the gallery space itself, you’ll find traditional artworks thoughtfully juxtaposed against contemporary pieces, with rotating, themed exhibitions, including original pieces by artists in residence, and many items for sale.

Artists in residence and exhibitions
